Dongguan MIXC VILLAGE Narrative and Atmosphere Installation Environment Design

On December 28, 2025, MIXC VILLAGE, China Resources Group's first premium outlet, opened in Dongguan's Binhai Bay New Area. Centered on "nature, comfort, relaxation, and delight," it blends retail with resort experiences. PILLS led the curation and design of spatial narratives, visitor flow, and key installation systems, exploring a new scenario‑driven model for non‑standard commercial complexes in close collaboration with the client. — Series Installation Curation and Design In the early narrative phase, PILLS developed a complete visitor storyline under the theme "WANXIANG • ZIZAI ZHOU" (Vastness • Island of Ease). The story follows a voyager drawn by a cloud on the sea to a mysterious island, where she enjoys a relaxed and delightful holiday, gradually regains her life energy, and finds answers to her ideal way of living. Based on this narrative and its emotional touchpoints, the site is divided into four immersive experiential chapters: Cloud to Oasis, The Pier, Lounging in Azure Plaza, and The Boulevard. — Opening IP Atmosphere and Decorative Display Design China Resources MIXC Lifestyle introduced "Fantasy Island Voyage" as the core opening narrative for MIXC VILLAGE, building an original IP story centred on the adventures of the female sailor Freya as she lands on the island.
